Easter

Apr, 22 2014

It has been a weekend of chicks, bunnies, eggs, food and Sunrise Services. Easter in my opinin is one of the most important holidays we celebrate.

Traditionally there  is a big meal served after church and this year The Harmon House Events Center provided this meal for the community to enjoy.  Mary, Alan, Ashley and Staff  of Buttercup Cafe located in Denton N.C. did an outstanding job serving over one hundred guest Traditional Ham,  Pot Roast, and Belgium Waffles.

Judi Holcomb-Pack and Myra Asgaard-Espersen-Crisis Control Ministry in Winston Salem N.C. attended with family as did Crystal Norman and family-they were there celebrating the birth of a three-month old grand son and four generations at their table.  What a day of celebration for them!  Allison from Camden S.C. was celebrating her thirty fifth birthday.

The Old Salem Chapter of the American Automobile Car Club brought twenty four member from the area.  They enjoyed good food and fellowship with each other as they discussed plans for their up-coming antique car show which will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014 in Downtown Kernersville.

Tammy and Tony Shumaker of Winston Salem surprised their son Justin and daughter-in-law Anne-Marie as they celebrated their seventh month wedding anniversary.  Justn and Anne-Marie was married athe Harmon House Events Center in September, 2013. Congratulations!

Danny and Rosette Jefferson came as well as Rich and Nancy Blakemore.  Nancy  had been up since four a.m. (Nancy is the Music Director for MSUMC) Many others came dressed in their Easter Frocks and children with their "Bunny Ears".   We suggest you stay in touch and make plans to join us next year.  Keep reading our blog for upcoming events at the Harmon-House Events Center . Peace, Joy and Love to all
